SAC is Back!

The Staff Advisory Council is relaunching with a streamlined and updated structure and focus. We are actively seeking colleagues from across the university who are interested in supporting and sustaining Tulane’s uniquely relational culture as it relates to staff employees. SAC Fact #1:

The Staff Advisory Council is a university-wide body of elected and appointed staff employees.

SAC Fact #2:

The Staff Advisory Council is officially recognized by the university administration as representing the views of staff employees. SAC holds seats on the University Senate and several Senate subcommittees, including Faculty & Staff Benefits and Budget Review.

Over the years, the Staff Advisory Council has successfully championed a number of initiatives benefiting staff employees, including but not limited to:

Q. What is the time commitment to be a SAC representative?

A. SAC meetings are held approximately once a month and are typically scheduled on Wednesdays from 3:00-4:30 p.m. One meeting per semester is held in person and other meetings are held on Zoom.

Q. Do I need to clock out to attend SAC meetings?

A. No. SAC meetings are considered official university business.

A. Serving on the Staff Advisory Council offers an opportunity to connect with colleagues from across the university, uplift the voices of staff employees, and potentially take on leadership roles within the campus community.
