The Tulane University Staff Advisory Council (SAC) is proud to host its annual Holiday Toy Drive for local CASA programs. Since 2008, the SAC's CASA toy drive has provided thousands of holiday gifts for abused and neglected children in the foster care system in Orleans, Jefferson, and St. Tammany parishes.
This year's Toy Drive will run November 5 through December 5, 2018. Click here to donate online!
Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) for Children is a network of 933 community-based programs that recruit, train and support citizen-volunteers to advocate for the best interests of abused and neglected children in courtrooms and communities. Currently, CASA New Orleans serves 130 children, Jefferson serves 200 children, and St. Tammany serves over 150 children in foster care, ranging in age from newborn to 18 years old.
Every day in the United States, 1,900 children become victims of abuse or neglect. For many of these children, the holiday season often holds nothing but disappointment. With your help, we can bring smiles to their faces, and make their holidays a little happier.
SAC is pleased to add a drop-off location on the Elmwood campus in 2018!
