The Tulane University Staff Advisory Council (SAC) is happy to start each academic year providing school supplies to local public school students by partnering with community organizations.
In Orleans Parish, SAC partners with the Dinerral Shavers Educational Fund (DSEF) Annual Back to School Extravaganza. SAC and the Ashé Cultural Arts Center co-sponsor this free school supply giveaway annually to support all New Orleans public school students. The 2022 DSEF Extravaganza and School Supply Drive will be held on Saturday, September 10 (see details below).

In 2021, SAC and the Tulane Primate Center staff partnered with the Children's Advocacy Center/Hope House in Covington (pictured here) to provide school supplies for child victims of abuse on the Northshore.
